Tina Combs
Position: Associate Pastor
Reports To: Lead Pastor
Status: Full-Time – Exempt
Primary/Overall Responsibility: To Recruit, Train, Deploy, Monitor, and Nurture (RTDMN) volunteer teams in order to provide meaningful ministry and service opportunities for every active member and attender at HRAC in accordance with HRAC’s values, mission, and vision.
Specific Responsibilities: Ongoing team building and care for the following projects and teams will include but will not be limited to Celebrate Recovery, Community Groups, Tech ministry, Youth ministry (both Middle and High School), and Local Outreach. Other general areas of responsibility include participation on the Preaching Team, Pastoral Care as needed, and the development of a HRAC Discipleship/Spiritual Formation Pathway, Budget Oversight and Preparation, and Office Administration.
Celebrate Recovery
· Lead the volunteer leadership team through ongoing recruiting, training, deploying, monitoring, and nurturing (RTDMN)
· Provide trainings and development to ensure CR is a safe place for all in recovery
· Launch 12 step groups for men and women at least annually
· Oversee the CR budget
Community Groups
· Work with the Community Building Team to creatively consider ways to launch CGs
· Work with the Community Building Team to develop a coaching system to provide care, encouragement, and ongoing training for CG Facilitators and Hosts
· Provide quarterly trainings for CG Facilitators
· Resource CG facilitators with ideas for mission
· Resource and oversee short term classes and workshops
Tech Ministry
· RTDMN a volunteer team including sound, projection, lights, video, which includes someone to administrate the Planning Center schedule for Sunday services, support the tech side of special services (weddings, funerals, etc.)
· Oversee the Tech Team ministry budget
Youth Ministry
· Provide leadership and oversight for the volunteer MS and HS ministry teams
· Train teams to continually recruit, train, deploy, monitor, and nurture additional volunteers
· Provide safety training and background checks for volunteers
Local Outreach
· RTDMN a Local Outreach Team to connect with the Hood River region
Office Administration
· Oversee the role of Office Administrator
· Web/Tech
· Oversee the general budgeting process—both ongoing and new year prep
HRAC Discipleship/Spiritual Formation Pathway
· Work with HRAC Staff, with input from the Governing Authority, to develop a pathway that moves people from unchurched (or de-churched) unbeliever to a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
· This pathway begins with a creative Welcoming ministry and moves to Connections ministry, and then to various classes/workshops that sponsor newcomers into the life and ministry opportunities at HRAC, which include membership, spiritual gift discovery, and servant-leadership development as needed.
Misc. Responsibilities
· Pastoral care
o Meet with or reach out to individuals in need of care, encouragement, and prayer
o Help to provide pastoral care in such areas as baptisms, preaching/teaching, weddings, funerals, hospital visitations, etc. as needed.
· Hold regular office hours communicated with the church office
