“Hey Pastor, I just wanted to let you know that we won’t be at church for the next three months because my girl is playing ball and they have games on Sunday and practices throughout the week.”
Ephesians
Ephesians – Pt. 1: Grace to KNOW
1. Intro + Prologue and Praise 1:1-14 (1/15/23) Big Idea: Who we are “in Christ” and the blessings accorded therein. Paul’s run-on sentence—we experience him experiencing God. Good doctrine is not just about “head knowledge,” it’s about both head and heart engaging with God.
Advent Conspiracy
Hood River Alliance Church has been conspiring against the consumerism that the Christmas season in America can bring by joining with other churches across the world to spend less, give more, worship fully and love all. The idea is that we choose to buy less gifts and instead give of ourselves by making gifts or spending time with those we love. With the money that we save on, we joyfully give at the Advent Conspiracy Offering, over and above our tithe, and then send all of that money all over the world and in our community to those in need.

4th Quarter Financial Update
As we work our way towards the end of the year, I, along with our governing authority and staff, desire to provide you with a clear and brief financial update. First and foremost, we want to express our appreciation for the way that so many of you have been financially faithful this last year. HRAC has a history of being particularly generous when specific and tangible needs arise, and we are deeply grateful for your generosity.
Ruth
We are tempted to see Ruth as a one-dimensional love story, but it is much, much more than that. The narrative of Ruth shows us a young Moabite widow who comes to know the covenant love (Hebrew: hesed[1]) of the one true God and the joy of belonging to His people.
