The Great Commission Fund
Jesus sent his apprentices to make disciples of all nations. Through the Great Commission Fund, our generosity joins with Alliance churches across the country to send workers, plant churches, and carry the good news to people who have never heard it, so that his kingdom comes on earth as it is in heaven.

Hood River Alliance Church is part of The Christian and Missionary Alliance, a family of churches with one shared calling: all of Jesus for all the world. No single congregation can send workers to the ends of the earth on its own. Together, we can.
The Great Commission Fund is how that shared calling is resourced. Gifts to the GCF are the primary source of funding for The Alliance's gospel work around the world. They support staff, workers, and ministries here in the U.S. and across the globe, and every Alliance international worker receives funding from it.
When we give to the GCF, our practice of generosity reaches far beyond the Gorge. What is formed in us here becomes good news for someone we may never meet.

How the GCF works
Two main streams of giving flow into the Great Commission Fund.
General giving
For the whole missionSupports the overall ministry of The Alliance: staff, workers, and their ministries in the U.S. and around the world.
Designated giving
For specific workers or workDirected to particular workers or ministries, at home or abroad, that you want to stand behind.
Gifts are put to work right away, supporting people and ministries already in the field.
Pooling our giving gives The Alliance the flexibility to respond quickly to critical needs, wherever and whenever they arise.
Project ReImagine, and at times other strategic projects, are funded by The Alliance but not through the Great Commission Fund itself.

You can give to the GCF right here through Hood River Alliance Church. Your gift is sent on to The Alliance and counted as part of our church's support of the Great Commission.
You can also give directly to The Alliance, including designated gifts to specific workers.
