Hood River Alliance Church is glad to share our spaces with families, community groups, and organizations. Here you can see what's available, learn what we ask of everyone who uses our facilities, and request a space.

How to reserve a space

  1. Check the calendar

    Look at the calendar below to find a day and time when the room you need is open.

  2. Send a request

    Fill out the Facility Use Request form. Tell us about your event, the rooms you need, and any equipment.

  3. We review it

    Our staff and the pastor responsible for that space review your request. We'll let you know if it's approved or if we have questions.

  4. Get ready for your event

    We'll tell you about any deposit, insurance, or forms you need before the day of your event.

Fellowship Hall and Kitchen

Meals, receptions, meetings, and celebrations.

Gym, Cafe, and Mezzanine

Sports, large gatherings, and community events.

Sanctuary, Prayer Room, and Soothing Room

Our space of worship. Requests receive an extra review to make sure it is cared for and respected.

Children's Wing

Classrooms for smaller groups and activities.

Mods

Stand-alone classrooms, often used for ongoing programs.

Basement and other spaces

Open doesn't mean reserved

A time isn't held for you until your request is approved. Sunday mornings and church life events like weddings and funerals always come first.

What we ask of everyone

We're a Christian church, part of The Christian and Missionary Alliance. When you use our building, we ask that you and your guests respect our beliefs and follow a few simple standards.

Ministry needs and life events of our church family, such as weddings and funerals, take priority over other uses. If we ever need to reschedule your event, we'll give you as much notice as we can.
Facility Use Standards
  • Respect the beliefs and mission of Hood River Alliance Church while on our property.
  • No activities that directly oppose our Christian beliefs and community standards.
  • No alcohol, tobacco, vaping, cannabis, or illegal drugs anywhere on church property.
  • No gambling, partisan political campaign activities, or sexually explicit material.
  • Follow our policy on weapons.
  • No open flames, fog machines, or fireworks without written approval, and no overnight stays.
  • Minors may not be present without a supervising adult 18 or older.
  • Leave the space clean and as you found it, and tell us right away about any damage.
Cleaning and deposits

Please clean up after your event: put away furniture and equipment, take out the trash, and leave restrooms clean. Depending on the space and activity, we may ask for a refundable cleaning deposit. It's returned in full when the space is left clean and undamaged.

Sound and AV

Events using our audio/visual equipment need an on-site consultation with staff at least 15 days before the event. An HRAC AV technician will also be on site to run sound during your event.

Our AV technicians set aside their own time to help your event go smoothly, so we ask that you thank them with a direct payment for their service. HRAC does not collect this payment.

Insurance, children, and physical activity
  • Organizations provide a certificate of liability insurance at least 7 days before the event, with at least $1,000,000 in liability coverage and $5,000 in medical payments coverage, naming Hood River Alliance Church as an additional insured.
  • Groups serving children or youth follow HRAC's Child Protection Policy, including background checks for anyone working with minors.
  • Sports, fitness, and other physical activity require every participant to sign our Activity Participation Agreement before taking part. A parent or guardian signs for anyone under 18.

Sharing our space

We believe our buildings are a gift from God, entrusted to us to steward well. Part of faithful stewardship is sharing what we've been given, so we're glad to open our doors as a way of blessing our neighbors.

Keeping these spaces heated, lit, clean, insured, and in good repair carries real costs. We know not everyone has the same means, and we never want cost to be a barrier. We simply ask that you give as you are able, to help keep these spaces available to our community in the future.
