Children's Programming

Children are not the church of tomorrow. They belong to our community today. In Children's Ministry, kids from birth through 5th grade learn to know, love, and serve Jesus alongside the people who love them most.

Formed together, from the start

No one is formed alone, and that includes our kids. Our greatest desire in Children's Ministry is to partner with parents in the discipleship of their children. Parents are a child's first teachers in the Way of Jesus; we come alongside you as a church family to help.

We take the spiritual formation of our kiddos seriously. Each Sunday we use a well-grounded, Bible-based curriculum to help kids know, love, and serve Jesus. We teach them that God wants a relationship with each one of us. As they come to know him, they can't help but love him, and the natural outflow of knowing and loving God is a desire to serve him with all their hearts.

What to expect on Sunday

Classes for every age, birth through 5th grade, meet during our 10 am worship service, so you can worship while your kids are cared for and learning about Jesus.

  1. Nursery

    Birth to 2½ years old

Whether your baby needs to be lovingly held or your toddler needs to wiggle, crawl, walk, or play, our Nursery helpers are eager to serve. With age-appropriate toys, music, and books, your child is cared for while you take part in worship.

Drop-off and pick-up are in the classroom. If your child needs you, we can reach you in the Sanctuary.

  2. Preschool

    2½ to 5 years old

A typical morning in Preschool includes games, crafts, and hands-on activities that reinforce the main point of the Bible lesson, with caring Children's Ministry leaders.

Drop-off and pick-up are in the classroom.

  3. Elementary

    Kindergarten to 5th grade

Elementary kids start the morning in the Sanctuary, worshiping together with the whole church. Then they head to their grade-level classrooms for games, the Bible story, and activities. Pick up your child in their classroom after the service.

New or visiting? Please walk your child to their classroom for sign-in. Every class provides a simple snack. If your child has dietary restrictions, let us know and feel free to bring a snack for them.

The Soothing Room

Babies are always welcome in worship, wiggles, coos, cries, and all. Wherever you're most comfortable sitting with your little one, you belong there.

If you'd like a quieter, more private space for soothing or nursing, the Soothing Room is open on Sunday mornings, around the corner from the information desk. It has live video of the gathering, comfy seats, and a changing table, so you won't miss a thing.

Register ahead, and Sunday gets simpler

Sunday mornings with kids are full: breakfast, shoes, finding the other shoe, and getting everyone out the door. Registering your family ahead of time takes one thing off that list. Fill out the form once from home, and when you arrive, your family is already in our system. Check-in takes a moment instead of a clipboard, and you can be in your seat when worship begins.

It also helps us care for your kids well. When our leaders know names, ages, and any allergies or medical needs before Sunday, each child gets to the right room, snack time is safe, and we know how to reach you if your child needs you.

Register Your Family

The form asks for:

  • Your name, email, phone, and address
  • Each child's name and birthdate
  • Any allergies, emergency medication, or medical notes
  • Other adults in your household

You only need to register once. If something changes, like a new allergy or a new little one, just let us know.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”Mark 10:14

Your kids are in good hands

Caring well for children is one of the ways we love one another as a church family.

Our leaders

Every Children's Ministry leader is background-checked, trained, and committed to becoming an authentic, credible follower of Jesus. Many have years of experience serving in children's ministry or teaching.

Security

When Elementary kids are dismissed from the Sanctuary, they meet their teachers, leaders, and our security team in the foyer, and walk to their classrooms together.
